Extended Learning is a growing initiative at Ï㽶ÊÓƵ, focused on expanding the types and format of learning offered through the University.
Extended learning mandate
- To welcome all learners of different ages, backgrounds, and career paths to the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ experience with flexible and diverse learning opportunities that enrich and nourish everyone’s personal, academic, and professional development goals.
- To offer courses, credentials, and value-added experiences through a range of teaching principles emphasizing universal design, EDIA, Indigenization, and decolonization.
- To offer high-quality learning and educational experiences led by Ï㽶ÊÓƵ faculty, as well as by a range of external experts, all supported by innovative technologies and platforms.
- To support meaningful, respectful, diverse, open, and innovative knowledge seeking and gathering.
- To foster networking, collaboration, and community building with Sackville/Tantramar; with regional organizations, employers and employees; with provincial and federal institutions; as well as with an international hub of engaged learners.

Summer Digital Skills Workshops
This summer, Ï㽶ÊÓƵ is offering FREE courses on digital skills to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the wider community. The courses offer a mix of online and hybrid delivery on campus and will provide valuable digital skill-building, along with a certificate of completion for each workshop.
Exploring Excel Series – Registration open!
This set of sessions is ideal for incoming and current students who will be using Excel for labs and for faculty, staff, alumni, and community who want to be able to accomplish tasks more efficiently with Excel. Register individually or complete three of the four sessions as a micro-credential bundle and receive a certificate of completion.
